Dr. Jeremy E. Sontag, DC

Dr. Jeremy E. Sontag DC has a passion for fitness and healthy living. While working as an Exercise Specialist at a Spinal Cord Injury center near San Diego Jeremy met his chiropractic mentor. After years of chronic low back pain, physically demanding work, and unsatisfactory outcome from medical treatment, he decided to consult a chiropractor.  This condition often rendered him bedridden for days.  A referral from a trusted source led him to what he described as immediate pain relief.  After a period of serious consideration and advice from key individuals, he decided to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Dr. Sontag’s Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, and 20 years of fitness and nutrition experience, uniquely qualifies him to help patients achieve optimal health and wellness through chiropractic. He has been in practice since 2012 and has treated patients from all over the globe and age ranges including several years of experience treating Spanish-speaking patients. Some of Dr. Sontag’s specialties include Diversified, MRT, Activator, Personal Injury, and SOT blocking.

Dr. Sontag was raised in the Pacific Northwest and is proud to call this area his home. Some of his hobbies and interests include Natural bodybuilding, Surfing, Archery, Hiking, reading and exploring other cultures. Dr. Sontag understands the value of enjoying the outdoors and its key role in overall well -being.

Dr. Sontag is well versed in the management of acute and chronic conditions and is ready to provide the most effective and efficient care possible. His chiropractic care focuses on improving health naturally, focusing on long term prevention and wellness.  It is important to remember that pain can be an indicator of a longstanding structural condition and that the absence of pain does not mean the root of the problem has been resolved.  With Dr. Sontag’s comprehensive approach, many patients have been helped to avoid surgery, eliminate pain medication and drastically reduce recovery time from traumatic injury.

Jeremy

Jeremy graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish. His interest had always been in helping those in need which first led him to working with at-risk kids and teens in the foster care system in his home state of Nebraska. Eventually, because of his own experience with physical injuries and the powerful healing potential of bodywork and other body-centered therapies, he became committed to studying and practicing this art on his own. In 2015, he traveled to Sedona, Arizona where he received his basic massage training and went on to receive an advanced certification in Structural Integration, a massage modality which seeks to balance the body in gravity using very specific deep-tissue techniques. He also incorporates passive joint manipulations, myo-skeletal techniques, and other modalities he has picked up along the way. In 2023, Jeremy received his board certification from the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Practicing as a full-time massage therapist since 2015 has provided him with ample learning opportunities and extensive experience with a variety of conditions and pathologies. He is currently working on his Master Myoskeletal Therapist certification from Erik Dalton’s Freedom From Pain Institute. He believes that each person’s nervous system is unique and tailors his approach in therapy to best meet the specific needs of each individual.

Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys being a father as well as playing his guitar and singing at various venues around Eugene.

Her goal in each session is to apply knowledge and skills to customize a massage that will help patients achieve pain relief and improved mobility to improve their quality of life. She works primarily with Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. She looks forward to building healing relationships, and helping her patients achieve their health and wellness goals.
